La Salle Higher Secondary School is a learning community where the students are valued and educated in preparation for a meaningful life. The school aims to develop an atmosphere of friendliness, discipline and co-operation where everyone can experience respect, encouragement and support. As its name suggests, La Salle is a La Sallian school inspired by the educational and spiritual principles of St. John Baptist De La Salle which permeate the life of the school community in such a way that students internalise those values and reflect them in their behaviour.More than 1200 people live and work together every day at La Salle. To do this happily and successfully we must show great consideration and respect for one another. That is why we have a Code of Behaviour to be followed by everyone.
A brief glance at La Salle’s History
La Salle Higher Secondary School was started by Rt. Rev. Dr. F. B. Cialeo (Bishop of Multan) and the management of this school was handed over to the De La Salle Brothers on 11th January 1960. Brother Harding (from Great Britain), Brother Ceasar (from France) and Brother Oliver (from Sri Lanka) were the pioneering brothers of this esteemed institution. This school was named La Salle after the name of the founder of the Congregation, Saint John Baptist De La Salle. Saint John Baptist De La Salle lived in France in the seventeenth century. He was a pioneer in the field of modern education. Many of his pedagogical insights have gradually been adopted in classroom teaching throughout the world. From that time onwards, the La Salle School System has expanded on global level. At present the La Salle Schools, Colleges, and even Universities are functioning in more than eighty countries.
We celebrate the feast of our school on 15th of May every year. During the preceding week, the students and the teachers highlight the educational insights of the founder of La Salle Brothers. We also arrange co-curricular activities including games in connection with the school feast.
We celebrated 50 years of educational excellence in the year 2010. The occasion was marked by the presence of the Brother Alvaro Rodriguez, Superior General of the De La Salle Brothers (Rome).
